Kitty is a former teacher, principal, and adjunct professor for the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. She taught classes in curriculum design and assessment and supervised students during their field experience. Kitty has been responsible for initiatives in effective instructional strategies, classroom assessment and data analysis, curriculum audits and alignment, and classroom walk-throughs. As an educational consultant with Teachscape, she worked with teachers and administrators to replicate these initiatives along with focused staff development to bring about sustained improvement on both criterion and norm referenced tests. While serving in her district’s elementary gifted and talented program, Kitty researched and developed a Search program for early identification and placement of students in the gifted and talented program. As a principal, she designed and implemented a campus wide program to differentiate learning for identified gifted students in the regular education classroom setting. Kitty has served as an ACT instructor and field advisor since the fall of 2008.

Kitty received a BA from Baylor University and a Masters degree in educational administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
